If you’re wondering what to paint trim with, our soft satin Trim Paint is the perfect fit. It can be used on a wide range of interior surfaces including bare wood, painted wood, laminate, brick and MDF. That makes it suitable for furniture and kitchens as well as any interior woodwork.

Amongst the best paint for interior doors and trim, our collection of satin chalk paint is self-levelling and self-sealing, so it’s easy to use, and there’s no faffing around required with extra top-coats. It’s also self-priming, except on bare metal, to minimise preparation before getting started.

Colours are teamed with our matching ultra-matte chack wall paint, meaning you can paint wood trim white, off-white, green, blue or any other colour that takes your fancy. Match with your walls for a cohesive, modern look, use contrasting colours to add drama and depth, or choose wall and trim paint in similar colours for a subtle distinction.

The Technical Stuff

  • Safe for use on children's toys - EN71-3 certified
  • Contains: Chalk, Clay, Titanium Dioxide, Resin, Talcum, Preservative

Coverage

  • A 500ml tin will provide a coat of up to 7m². For a durable finish, a minimum of 2 coats is required, so your 500ml tin should provide full coverage for 3.5m² on non-porous surfaces
  • Thinner application may affect durability
  • Porous surfaces will affect the rate of coverage and require additional coats
  • Always ensure you have enough paint for your whole project. When more than 1 tin of the same colour is needed, it is good practice to ensure batch numbers are identical or to intermix batches prior to commencing painting
